A one day trip from Paris to Bordeaux's wine country.

Classified Growth Châteaux of the Médoc

(9 hours) From: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Available Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from March 15th through October 31st.

Focusing on the Medoc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, our other day trip through Bordeaux offers three visits of Classified growth or Cru Bourgeois wines. Going south from the Garonne river encompasses the communes of St-Estephe, Pauillac, St. Julien and Margaux. Truly giants of prestige wines.

This tour takes you along the famed “Castle Road” , mile after mile of famous Chateaux and beautiful countryside. Your driver guide will discuss the local history as you enjoy the scenery and stop for chateau visits and tastings. Three Classified growth chateau tastings, all tasting fees included.

  • 3 Classified growth or Cru Bourgeois tastings
  • Transfer between castles and vineyards with an English-speaking driver guide
  • Van tour of the famous “Castle road.”

Enchanting St. Emilion

Grand Cru Châteaux and St. Emilion

(9 hours) From: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Everyday (except Sunday) from March 15th through October 31st.

Two hours via high speed TGV rail from Paris brings you to lovely Bordeaux.

Growers in the region are divided into Right Bank and Left Bank appellations, depending which side of the Garonne River they are located. As with any grape-growing region, it’s all about the soil, and St. Emilion and Pomerol grapes are almost all Merlot grapes, with a bit of Cabernet Franc and a few Malbec plantings.

After your 9.00 am arrival via train, you’ll meet your guide at the Bordeaux Tourist Office for a day which includes:

  • 3 Classified growth chateau tastings, all tasting fees included.
  • Transfer between castles and vineyards with an English-speaking driver guide
  • A walking tour of St. Emilion and van tour of the countryside and small villages.
