The Château de Chantilly is located in the northern town of Chantilly in the Picardy region of France. Originally erected in 1560, the chateau was entirely rebuilt in the1870's (after sitting in disrepair for 70 years after the French Revolution). The historic chateau is owned by the Institut de France and houses the Musée Condé.
The Musée Condé features what is considered the second most important art collection in France after the Louvre. Chantilly overlooks an extensive garden and the Chantilly racecourse and the Great Stables.
In modern times, Chantilly was used as the home of the villain Max Zorin in A View to a Kill, Roger Moore's last turn as master spy James Bond. Soccer star Ronaldo married Daniela Cicarelli on the grounds in 2005.
